Using our extensive health and safety knowledge, we have developed everything from refresher courses, through to compliance certification, to ensure that those working within electrical industries, can do so in a safe and productive manner. So, what are these courses?

    Electrical Maintenance

    This electrical safety training course takes place over a 5-day period and is best suited to those who already have engineering or mechanical skills but require electrical training to safely perform their duties. The course covers health and safety legislation, current flow, electrical circuits and Ohm’s law, continuity and insulation resistance testing, power supplies, motors, electrical safety, isolation and switching, protective devices and control circuits.

    Inspection & Testing

    This course follows the City and Guilds syllabus and is ideal for electricians and domestic installers that are looking to improve their inspection and testing know-how and safety. Candidates working towards a ‘qualified supervisor’ status could also benefit from this course, which will equip them with City & Guilds 2396-10 Design and Verification as well as City & Guilds 2377-22 Portable Appliance Testing.

    Electrical Awareness

    Ideally suited for those who already have electrical knowledge and experience that want to progress in their training into 3 phase electrical systems. Covering 3 phase generation, transmission and distribution, electrical principles, metering and consumers distribution equipment, safe isolation, 3 phase installations, testing of 3 phase supplies and electrical safety considerations, this course has no formal entry requirements but is ideal for those who have already completed a domestic installers course.

    Electrical Vehicle Charging

    Aimed towards experienced electricians, this course will give candidates the necessary skills to progress in their careers in the vehicle charging industry. The safety training course we are offering is the latest City & Guilds 2919-01 Level 3 Award and is tailored to those looking to become an approved EV charging point installer.
