At APT, we take a role as health and safety training providers extremely seriously and as part of our mission to try and equip as many people as possible with relevant courses, we have helped lots of people obtain their CSCS green labourers’ card in Staffordshire. As we are a CITB accredited centre and an approved ATO centre, companies can claim money back if they have booked a CITB training course with us, allowing more labourers to take advantage of a CSCS green card.
What is CSCS?
Obtaining a green labourer’s card in Staffordshire, essentially gives labourers a passport to working on a construction site. The card is attained by passing the CITB Health and Safety Awareness (HSA) course, as well as the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test. Both must have been completed within the last two years to validate your application for a CSCS card.
Many candidates who are starting the process of obtaining a green labourer’s card in Staffordshire ask us, why now? Many have worked in the industry for many years already and are unsure of how this card can benefit them. While lots of construction workers used to apply for the CSO entry-level green card to gain access to construction sites, it made it difficult to use the CSCS cards as signifiers that holders had the relevant skills and safety to work on site. The all-new green card sets a definitive standard to those working as labourers and demonstrated their awareness and understanding of basic health and safety.
