This 1-day course offers an introduction to the various environmental issues on construction sites and has been purposefully devised to benefit staff with management or supervisory responsibilities.
The aim of the SEATS course is to meet the basic environmental knowledge that the sub-contract chain are required to show proof of when working with major contractors. The SEATS course is fully up to date and covers the environmental aspects of the new touch-screen Health, Safety and Environment test (that everyone applying for a CSCS card must take).
APT delivers the SEATS course by means of classroom discussion, case studies, group work and individual/group presentations and it is highly interactive. Candidates will be continuously assessed as well as be required to successfully complete a multiple-choice test at the end. Individuals who successfully pass the SEATS course assessment and the test will receive a CITB Site Safety Plus certificate.
One you have completed the SEATS course successfully you’ll understand how work on construction sites is affected by the following:
• The environment and why it matters
• Best practice techniques and legal compliance

• Pollution prevention and water management
• How to be a good neighbour: statutory nuisance, communication, archaeology and heritage
• Being a responsible contractor
